ABOUT A FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN: “Typical day” “What you’re getting into”

Field Service Technicians are responsible for providing direct service, repair, and install to Bernick’s portfolio of equipment such as Vending Machines, Fountain Equipment, Ice Machines – Air and Water Cooled, Coolers, Coffee Equipment and Frozen Beverage Equipment.  Brands we service include Bunn, Curtis, True, Beverage-Air, Manitowoc, Scotsman, Cornelius, and National to name a few.

Service Technicians prioritize and manage multiple projects in a time sensitive manner.
  Equipment will be maintained through preventative maintenance visits, as well as, service calls to address immediate needs and are commonly completed in the field at customer sites.  Technicians may travel up to 200 miles per day. In addition to mechanical skills, people skills are vital for building customer relationships, trouble shooting, and decision-making. Service Technicians will ensure all service to customer or company-owned equipment is completed efficiently and effectively according to Bernick’s standards.

Strong candidates have/are able to:

  •         Excellent mechanical and electrical skills, which are required to maintain and repair equipment
  •         Willingness to learn and ability to be trained in a time sensitive environment
  •         Provide exceptional customer service and first-class execution to all accounts
  •         Effectively communicate with customers, supervisor, and team members

 

HOURS: Full-time

  • Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:00PM
  • Schedule may vary or change according to business needs
  • Rotating on-call with other Service Technicians is required: flexibility to be on-call approximately every 8th week/weekend (24/7)
  • When scheduled to be on-call, receive $250/week
